RO Weekly League Season One – Week Four Round Up

In these round ups I’ll be giving a very quick breakdown of the factions used and pointing out any interesting lists (to me at least).

The theme of week four was ‘Your list must only be comprised of pilots with odd numbered agility and odd numbered initiative’. Cue questions regarding Stealth Device and Delta 7-B.

This week the Empire are once again top alongside Republic with seven lists each. Then we have Resistance with six, Scum with four, FO with two and Separatists with one.

I’m writing this Sunday night with a couple of lists still to be inputted but the main thing that sticks out here is that there are no Rebel lists. Being a Rebel player…I was a little disappointed. However, it actually makes some sort of sense. Looking at I5 pilots with odd-numbered agility means Lando, Leia and both Norras. Good choices (to me least) but we’re not seeing them in the large meta.

It’s no surprise to see more Resistance this week due to the strength of their I5 RZ-2 roster. Same for the Empire holding steady at the top considering how many v1s we’re seeing.

I’ve picked 050’s Republic list as my star of the week. Here’s the list along with a few words by the man himself.

GALACTIC REPUBLIC (199)

Shadow Squadron Veteran BTL-B Y-Wing (43)
Ion Cannon Turret + Clone Commander Cody + thermaldetonators
Jedi Knight Delta-7 Aethersprite (39)
Calibrated Laser Targeting

Because the assignment was odd initiative and odd agillity I went for the middle with ground initiative three and chose the Aetherpsite. With these I3 ships I have the high ground on the I1 and they are good blockers for I5. At first the list was with 5 Aetherprites but I wanted some flavour because I could run against agility three ships so there was only one option, my man Commander Cody. The strategy was to shoot first with the Y-Wing. Not to hit, but to miss so I could give my opponent a strain with Cody, and then shoot with a jedi to do some serious damage. Straightforward but it works. Setup was in a box formation, and somewhere during the game depending on what the opponent would do I would break formation to be a difficult target to focus fire on, and have some modded shots at them.

Until next week, pilots! If you’d like to get involved with choosing the articles I write here and support Rogue Outpost you can find my Patreon here.
