RO Weekly League Season One – Week Seven Round Up

In these round ups I’ll be giving a very quick breakdown of the factions used and pointing out any interesting lists (to me at least).

The theme of week seven was ‘Your list must contain six ships total. You can only have two of a ship type in a list’. No questions this week, it’s pretty self-explanatory. It did get people thinking though, using lower initiative ships they wouldn’t have flown otherwise.

The Empire have continued their dominance this week with ten lists, the most we’ve seen from a single faction in a single week. Next we had the Republic with five lists and Scum with four. The Rebels and Seps both had two lists and the Resistance had one. It was a no show for the First Order.

This week’s star of the week is my opponent Rob Nixon’s Scum list.

Drea Renthal (46)
Dorsal Turret (2)
Agile Gunner (6)
R4 Astromech (2)

Ship total: 56 Half Points: 28 Threshold: 4

Black Sun Soldier (24)
Cluster Missiles (4)

Ship total: 28 Half Points: 14 Threshold: 2

Tansarii Point Veteran (29)
Autoblasters (3)

Ship total: 32 Half Points: 16 Threshold: 2

Autoblasters (3)

Ship total: 32 Half Points: 16 Threshold: 2

Mining Guild Sentry (22)
Ship total: 22 Half Points: 11 Threshold: 2

Total: 198

I filled in for a player that couldn’t play and went up against these guys. Having Drea at I4 was a very good call because all my ships were I3 or lower and her ability buffed a lot of attacks coming into me. The combo of Cluster Missiles from the Zeds and Autoblasters from the Scyks tore into my Rebel squad with only one of my six ships finishing over half points. A lot has to be said for the price of those ships too, all being cheap enough to field at I3. A fun list that packs more punch than you expect.

Until next week, pilots! It’s the final week of the league and the theme is a bit out there so looking forward to seeing what lists are flown. If you’d like to get involved with choosing the articles I write here and support Rogue Outpost you can find my Patreon here.
